EINE KLEINE WASSERMUSIK / THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE Das Spiel mit formalen Zitaten und die Suche nach neuen Wertigkeiten in alltäglichen Handlungsritualen ist hier die Basis des Entwurfs. Die asketische Inszenierung von Wasser hat das Sanitärdesign der letzten Jahre stark geprägt. Jedoch ist auch hier Wasser einfach Wasser und ein Wasserhahn ein Wasserhahn. IT´S ALL SO QUIET geht einen Schritt weiter und gibt dem Klang des Wassers einen Freund an die Hand - die Musik. Die optischen und interaktiven Parallelen zum Plattenspieler wecken ein Bild in uns und öffnen unser Ohr. Eine banale Tätigkeit inszeniert sich hier von selbst und enthebt uns für den Moment auf eine höhere Bühne. The audience is listening... The love for the uncommon in day-to-day rituals and the experiment with formal citations form the basis of this concept. The ascetic staging of water is the fundamental theme in contemporary sanitary design. But water stays water and tap stays tap. IT´S ALL SO QUIET takes a step forward - it gives an audience to the sound of water and let it become music. The formal and interative analogies to a set of turntables create a picture in our minds and open our ears. At this, a simple act valorizes and arises us to a higher stage - our own.
